Departure Literary Journal is a student-run journal that is currently looking for submissions from YOU! If your writing takes people away or your music transports the reader to another world, then we want it. Genre is unimportant just as long as it has the ability to bring the audience along for a journey. While we like the idea of literature taking us away, we are not looking for anything that is primarily escapism.
- Pieces can be any genre, any topic, any medium
- Submissions must be original works
- Prose must not exceed 10 pages
- Poetry must not exceed 5 pages
- Music or videos must not exceed 10 minutes
- Pieces may be sent back to be edited as seen fit by the editors of this journal
- Pieces may not be previously published
